Noonlight Updates Video Monitoring Solution

New AI filtering and advanced verification features aim to reduce false dispatches and improve response times for security providers.

Noonlight has launched two new features for its Verify API designed to streamline video monitoring for commercial and residential security providers.

The updates, AI Person Filtering and Advanced Verification, provide a human verification layer to video-triggered events. The system enables trained agents to review incidents before emergency services are dispatched, reducing non-actionable noise and operational burdens.

The AI Person Filtering feature uses a proprietary model to automatically screen incoming video clips. The system dismisses clips where no person is detected, which the company says delivers 99% recall and 97% precision. This automation is intended to eliminate the time and cost associated with reviewing empty motion alerts.

When an event is escalated to a live monitoring agent, the Advanced Verification tool provides deeper context. Agents can access up to 90 seconds of footage captured before the triggering event and view a live camera feed.

"What we’ve built is a smarter way to deliver the right context to agents at exactly the right moment," said John Tassone, president of Noonlight. "They can filter out the noise, act decisively on real situations, and prevent emergencies from escalating."

The Advanced Verification suite also includes active deterrence capabilities. Agents can initiate a talkdown through the camera to de-escalate situations or identify authorized individuals. Preliminary company data indicates that advanced verification with talkdown has reduced total false alarms by 45%.

In internal trials, Noonlight reported that in 37% of cases, the subject left the scene independently after intervention, while in 8% of cases, agents identified the individual as an authorized employee.

Based in Austin, Noonlight provides professional monitoring and emergency response integration via API. The company currently supports approximately 3.5 million users and handles video verification for residential and commercial security partners across the United States and Canada.
