Fingerprint Debuts First MCP Server for Fraud Prevention
The new open-source server allows security teams to connect AI agents directly to device intelligence for real-time anomaly detection.

Fingerprint has launched its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, marking the first open-source MCP implementation specifically for the fraud prevention industry. The technology allows organizations to connect AI assistants and agents to Fingerprint’s device intelligence platform to analyze identification events in real time.
The server uses a standard open protocol that enables fraud analysts and developers to query device intelligence data using natural language prompts. This shift aims to reduce the time required for complex fraud analysis from hours to seconds by eliminating the need for manual coding or proprietary vendor environments.
"The Fingerprint MCP Server enables organizations to stay ahead of fraudsters in today's automated web environments," said Valentin Vasilyev, co-founder and CTO at Fingerprint. "By embracing an open protocol, we're giving fraud teams the freedom to use the AI tools they already trust, whether that's a custom agent or a leading AI assistant."
The implementation arrives as enterprise adoption of AI agents increases. Industry data suggests that by 2027, AI agents will augment or automate half of all business decisions. Fingerprint’s server acts as a queryable data layer, allowing assistants to identify patterns across suspicious sessions or investigate login attempts through simple text-based commands.
The system is compatible with various AI chatbots and agents through the open MCP standard. It is being released as both open-source software and a managed service. Beyond data analysis, the server connects to management APIs, allowing developers to build AI-native workflows and automate incident monitoring.
By connecting AI coding environments directly to the MCP server, developers can build fraud-aware applications and manage security workspaces using natural language. The platform is designed for sectors facing high risks of automated attacks, including fintech, e-commerce, and travel.
The Fingerprint MCP server is currently available on an invitation-only basis to select enterprise organizations.
