Brivo Launches Natural Language AI Video Agent

New cloud-based tool Eeva allows security users to monitor specific activities using conversational prompts and existing camera hardware.

Brivo has launched Eeva, an AI video agent designed to integrate with existing security camera systems to monitor specific operational and security concerns through natural language processing.

The platform, an extension of the Brivo Eagle Eye video management system, allows business owners to set monitoring parameters using standard English prompts rather than complex programming. Users can instruct the system to identify specific behaviors, such as a worker failing to wear safety gear or unauthorized individuals loitering in restricted zones.

"Eeva delivers sophisticated AI that is simple to use and camera agnostic," said Dean Drako, CEO of Brivo. "Business owners can solve critical security and business challenges using their existing cameras."

The technology utilizes Vision Language Models (VLM) to understand spatial relationships and context, distinguishing between routine activity and potential security threats. According to the company, the AI can be deployed across large camera networks within minutes.

Security integrators have already begun deploying the tool in various sectors. In the United Kingdom, Kings Secure Technologies used the system to combat copper theft at electric vehicle charging stations. The AI was programmed to distinguish between a customer using a charging cable and a thief attempting to remove it.

In Norway, security firm Enter Security implemented the platform at a residential complex to manage illegal dumping. The system was configured to alert staff when trash was left outside of bins while ignoring residents who disposed of waste correctly.

The software is currently available and will be demonstrated at the ISC West conference in Las Vegas from March 25-27.
