i-PRO Unveils First Edge AI Fisheye Cameras

The new X-series flagship models allow security teams to use natural language for real-time incident detection and automated alerts.

i-PRO Co. Ltd. announced it will introduce its first security cameras featuring generative artificial intelligence running fully at the edge. The launch of the X-series fisheye cameras marks a shift from post-event forensic analysis to real-time, on-camera operations.

The new hardware utilizes a generative AI engine that allows operators to interact with live video using natural language. Instead of setting rigid rules or selecting from predefined attribute lists, users can type descriptions such as "person lying down" or "delivery truck." The camera then monitors the environment for those specific conditions and triggers proactive alerts.

By processing data at the edge—directly on the device—the system eliminates the need for external servers or cloud-based analytics. This architecture is designed to reduce latency and infrastructure complexity while keeping sensitive video data local to ensure privacy and data sovereignty.

"By embedding generative AI directly into the cameras, i-PRO simplifies operators’ work by delivering real-time insights," said Gerard Figols, chief operating officer at i-PRO.

The X-series features a 12.5-megapixel sensor providing 360-degree coverage. The cameras include AI-driven noise reduction to improve image clarity in low-light environments and integrated infrared illumination for operation in total darkness.

The cameras are built on an open architecture supporting Docker containers, allowing for the deployment of custom applications. For high-security environments, the devices are FIPS 140-3 Level 3 compliant and feature secure boot and signed firmware.

Outdoor models are rated IK11 and IP69 for protection against vandalism and harsh weather. The X-series is expected to be available globally starting in June.

    A8V MIND

Hexagon’s Geosystems presents a portable version of its Accur8vision detection system. A rugged all-in-one solution, the A8V MIND (Mobile Intrusion Detection) is designed to provide flexible protection of critical outdoor infrastructure and objects. Hexagon’s Accur8vision is a volumetric detection system that employs LiDAR technology to safeguard entire areas. Whenever it detects movement in a specified zone, it automatically differentiates a threat from a nonthreat, and immediately notifies security staff if necessary. Person detection is carried out within a radius of 80 meters from this device. Connected remotely via a portable computer device, it enables remote surveillance and does not depend on security staff patrolling the area.

  • ResponderLink

    ResponderLink

Shooter Detection Systems (SDS), an Alarm.com company and a global leader in gunshot detection solutions, has introduced ResponderLink, a groundbreaking new 911 notification service for gunshot events. ResponderLink completes the circle from detection to 911 notification to first responder awareness, giving law enforcement enhanced situational intelligence they urgently need to save lives. Integrating SDS’s proven gunshot detection system with Noonlight’s SendPolice platform, ResponderLink is the first solution to automatically deliver real-time gunshot detection data to 911 call centers and first responders. When shots are detected, the 911 dispatching center, also known as the Public Safety Answering Point or PSAP, is contacted based on the gunfire location, enabling faster initiation of life-saving emergency protocols.
