Bosch Security Systems Inc., a full-line manufacturer of security solutions, today announced the company’s entire portfolio of IP cameras is now available with H.264 compression technology. These IP cameras deliver high-resolution video with reduced bandwidth and storage consumption -- resulting in storage costs that are up to 30 percent less than systems that use traditional MPEG-4 encoding.

Many people I've spoken to outside the security industry believe, regardless of the overall economy, that our market should always be experiencing growth due to the unrelenting need for better security. However, the truth is that security is still a capital investment and the budget for security gets reduced or removed just like any other expense during tough economic times.
