The Women's Security Council, a network of successful security professionals focused on promoting the advancement of women in the industry, announced the winners of the first annual WSC Women of the Year awards at its networking reception at Pinot Brassiere Tuesday at ISC West.
Every so often I get lucky and find myself at the right place, at the right time, and hopefully doing the right things. For many years I’ve experienced this within the security industry. Being able to talk one-on-one with a company CEO is an example of three right opportunities.

RedCloud, formerly known as PlaSec, today announced that it has been awarded a new patent by the US Patent Office, recognizing and protecting core, underlying technology and intellectual property pioneered by RedCloud that enables the integration and convergence of physical and logical security systems.

"One Child At A Time" is how Mission 500, the Security Industry's response to children in crisis, can feed 500 for children every day for a year. And now, it is also the title of a newly created theme song for the organization.
As part of the Signature Series of education events at ISC West, The Third Revolution in Mobile Services: Near Field Communication will examine NFC technology and how it will change the industry. The session will be from 4-5 p.m. on Thursday in Room 502.
