Xtralis, VSK Group Join Forces

VSK Group, the Belgian subsidiary of Allied Defense Group, has been acquired for $49 million. VSK designs, develops and markets electronic security systems throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the United States.

Xtralis’ recognized brands include ADPRO security surveillance systems, ASIM traffic detection systems, PROACTIV fire control and management solutions and VESDA very early warning smoke detection.

VSK and Xtralis will be run by newly appointed CEO, Samir Samhouri. Samhouri will ensure that VSK and Xtralis work together to build their combined presence in the global security market.

Samhouri said the joint work with VSK Group will provide Xtralis with complementary technologies.

“Gaining access to VSK’s technology and products is an important strategic step for Xtralis as the company looks to further expand its footprint globally and strengthen its superior detection and analysis technologies,” Samhouri said. “Working together, Xtralis and VSK will be able to offer more competitive solutions to our target markets.

“VSK complements Xtralis’ video security and fire protection systems with a broad portfolio of IP networked surveillance solutions while its dominant access control platforms will add to the breadth of capabilities and tools available to both companies.”

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
