Honeywell Launches Security Channel Video Web Site

Honeywell recently launched The Security Channel, a dynamic new Web site featuring a wide selection of videos that showcase the newest security technologies, introduce viewers to leading industry personalities and examine real-world security projects.

The Security Channel’s inaugural programming lineup includes an inside look at a digital video surveillance application at Washington’s RFK Stadium, part of a series of video case studies that demonstrate the application of video surveillance, access control, visitor management and residential intrusion systems. Other current features include a profile of ADS Security president Mel Mahler and an interview with Delaware State University police chief James Overton.

Additionally, visitors can easily embed the videos on their own Web sites, download video podcasts and sign up for an RSS feed that sends updates on new videos. Viewers also will soon be able to submit their own videos for inclusion on The Security Channel. The site will be continuously updated with new video content, as well as user-friendly features.

“Nothing brings a story to life like a good video,” said Kevin O’Connor, vice president of global sales for Honeywell Security. “The Security Channel will explore security in all of its many aspects. We want to use this powerful medium in a way that will truly engage the viewers and help them share real-life experiences, learn about new technologies and even be entertained.”
