Former NSA Director To Keynote Public Security And Safety Expo At ISC West

Lt. Gen. Kenneth A. Minihan, former director of the National Security Agency and the Defense Intelligence Agency, will deliver the keynote address at Public Security and Safety Expo at ISC West at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 2 in Sands Expo Center Room 602 in Las Vegas.

Minihan will present on the challenges and opportunities of implementing a Comprehensive National CyberSecurity Initiative.

With government agencies reporting nearly 13,000 cybersecurity incidents last year and incursions on the military's networks up 55 percent, Minihan will discuss how government agencies can successfully implement the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative (CNCI) and protect government networks from future attacks.

His presentation will include an analysis of the Obama administration’s vision of future cyber security programs and recommendations for how the government can achieve true “cyber domain” awareness across its vast network of systems.

Through his long and distinguished career of supporting national defense and military information services, Minihan has held positions as the Assistant Chief of Staff, Intelligence, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C., Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, and most recently, director of the National Security Agency.

“In conjunction with the launch of Public Security and Safety Expo, we are pleased to have Lt. Gen. Minihan speak on such a timely and relevant topic to our government and military attendees and I’d like to thank LexisNexis Special Services Inc. for their help in making this event possible,” said Ed Nichols, vice president of the ISC events.
