Georgia Credit Union Deploys Verint Technology To Safeguard Branches, Support Fraud Investigation

Verint Systems Inc. recently announced that Delta Community Credit Union has implemented the Nextiva NetDVR II and MicroDVR II solutions from Verint Video Intelligence Solutions.

The deployments -- which deliver robust surveillance and data capture capabilities to Delta Community Credit Union’s entire branch of ATM and teller operations -- build upon the organization’s use of the Verint Nextiva portfolio and are part of its core focus on providing members with safe and secure banking.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Delta Community Credit Union is the state’s largest credit union, with over 181,000 members and more than $2.9 billion in assets. Its operations include retail branches, online services, more than 40 branch-based automated teller machines, and over 57,000 surcharge-free network ATMs nationwide.

“Delta Community Credit Union is committed to being a technologically innovative financial institution that offers its members best-in-class service in a secure environment,” said Gail Ruppersburg, physical security specialist of properties and facilities, Delta Community Credit Union. “Verint solutions continue to meet the high standards of our members and employees.”

The financial services organization has successfully leveraged Verint networked video technology since 2003 when it replaced its legacy VCR systems with Verint networked DVRs. The migration introduced the ability for the financial services organization to monitor ATM transaction data and video centrally with greater reliability and security, as well as more rapidly detect and investigate fraud.

Based on the greater security, intelligence and efficiencies introduced through its original Nextiva DVR implementation, extending its deployment to include Nextiva NetDVR II and MicroDVR II was a logical progression in support of the organization’s mission-critical security and loss prevention initiatives. With the Nextiva network video recorders, Delta Community Credit Union captures high-quality video images from the embedded operating system, optimizes bandwidth and storage utilization, leverages flexible video search capabilities, and benefits from programmable video retention and storage for lower cost of ownership and operation, along with superior security and reliability.

With industry-leading video/data interfaces to ATM, teller, alarm and other enterprise systems, Nextiva DVRs also provide Delta Community Credit Union with a more complete picture of activity in bank branches and money centers and ATM kiosks and vestibules.

“Outstanding financial institutions, such as Delta Community Credit Union, have made it clear that they need the most innovative and reliable technology systems to protect their employees, members and assets,” said Elan Moriah, president of Verint Video Intelligence Solutions and Verint Witness Actionable Solutions. “We are pleased to continue working with Delta Community Credit Union as we expand our global footprint in the financial services sector.”
