Mirasys To Support 500 IP, Megapixel Cameras Models

Mirasys, a provider of open platform digital CCTV and video surveillance solutions, has announced that its customers will now be able to use additional IP cameras from Dynacolor, Pixord and Siqura from Optelecom-NKF, and megapixel cameras from Mobotix, Panasonic, Pelco and Sony in conjunction with Mirasys recorders.

Drivers for this extended functionality will be available as standard in the newest versions of Mirasys NVR Pro and NVR Enterprise, shipping in May, while the previous versions of Mirasys recorders are easy to update with the latest software upgrades.

“We have responded to customers demanding increased choice in cameras by upgrading our capabilities in IP camera support,” said Jukka Riivari, CEO at Mirasys. “This move, combined with the trend towards standardisation and continuous improvements in IP camera offerings, will extend the number of integrated camera models supported by Mirasys to more than 500 by end of this year.”

Mirasys flagship products, NVR Pro and NVR Enterprise, support the world’s first full line of H.264 megapixel video surveillance cameras, from Arecont Vision. Mirasys was also a leading player in the drive to integrate high-resolution IP cameras into a range of surveillance systems for customers around Europe together with AXIS and IQ-in-vision. The increased range of cameras now supported by Mirasys cements its position as an innovator of enhanced functionality for affordable user-friendly IP video systems.

NVR Pro and NVR Enterprise are next generation NVR software-only digital surveillance solutions. Mirasys NVR Pro is a single server IP video recording solution aimed for the needs of businesses of all sizes with support of up to 32 cameras. Mirasys NVR Enterprise is a multiple server and channel solution aimed at medium and large companies that can support up to 5000 IP cameras and which can be managed as a single, distributed surveillance system. Both NVR Pro and NVR Enterprise are available through Mirasys distributors worldwide.

Mirasys is exhibiting at Stand no. F125, Hall 4, at IFSEC.
