Get On The Panel

ISC East truly offers a more intimate setting, even though show sponsors are trying to grow this event just like any good business. However, at ISC East, you can get a more up close and personal view of security at large.

On Thursday, our Network-Centric Security magazine will host a discussion on school security. Our panelists include Fredrik Nilsson of Axis Communications; Dennis Dop from RSI Videofied and Scott Sieracki with Quantum Secure.

In a Monday morning conversation with Dop and his boss, Keith Jentoft, they mentioned they will be discussing an installation in the Detroit school system where cameras were installed to help fight vandalism and on-campus crime. Jentoft said more than three dozen arrests had been made and vandalism has plunged recently.

Several new products have been announced and will be shown during the tradeshow. The more the merrier, I say. The security industry is all about technology and how it relates to doing a better job, with better equipment.

I hope you’ll be attending the New York event. I look forward to talking with you and having you show me what’s new and why it works.
