North American Video Completes Work on Red Bulls Arena

North American Video has handed over the keys to security operations management, having completed the installation of a state-of- the-art physical security system at the newly built Red Bulls Soccer Arena. Located in Harrison, N.J., the Arena is equipped with a mixture of fixed and pan/tilt video surveillance cameras and a card access system with local alarm monitoring at the security command center to help ensure the safety and security of the fans and players.

“Red Bulls Arena is one of many large entertainment venues that require a specialized security solution and an experienced system integrator to implement the system,” said. Jason Oakley, CEO of North American Video. “NAV was awarded the contract based on our bid proposal and, we believe, our stellar credentials in performing these types of ultra-sensitive, high-profile installations.”

The 25,000-seat arena features a state-of-the-art security system including 55 video surveillance cameras that are installed both inside and on the perimeter of the building, with many at dizzying heights. As many as 25 doors are equipped with access control card readers that feature alarm monitoring for added security. Two security command centers were also part of the design and installation to allow for everyday system monitoring as well as for game days when more intense monitoring is required.

The Red Bulls Arena is home to the New York Red Bulls Soccer Team, a member of Major League Soccer. The design of the arena, which is on par with major soccer stadiums around the world, features a roof that extends past the field’s touchlines and provides coverage from inclement weather.

The physical security system project was contracted through Hunter Roberts Construction Group as General Contractor and NAV was awarded the contract out of a pool of 15 local systems integrators.
