State Government Of Ohio Expands Encrypted E-Mail

Zix Corp.  recently announced that it will offer secure e-mail to an additional 10,000 state government employees in a new contract with Ohio. The addition expands Ohio’s contract for ZixCorp Email Encryption Services to more than 11,000 users across 53 departments, boards and commissions.

ZixCorp began providing secure email to Ohio state organizations in 2006. The successful implementation and ease of use of ZixCorp Email Encryption Services allowed the Ohio Office of Information Technology (OIT) to feel comfortable with extending services to additional users. OIT added users across multiple organizations, including the most recent addition of 10,000 users.

“Our growing relationship with the state of Ohio is a testament to our enhanced email encryption services and the value it brings state organizations,” said Rick Spurr, ZixCorp’s CEO. “Efficient and secure communication with residents, businesses and other state organizations is essential to day-to-day operations, and we are pleased that the state of Ohio trusts ZixCorp Email Encryption Services to deliver its secure e-mail.”

ZixCorp Email Encryption Services are also used by 22 other state governments and agencies. Similar to the state of Ohio, ZixCorp looks to build on these relationships and expand usage to more departments and users within these states.

“We have developed a reputation as a reliable resource for state government organizations, which is evident in our increasing presence in state governments and agencies. We look forward to expanding these relationships and developing new ones,” Spurr said. “Our patient and deliberate investment in the public sector is beginning to deliver meaningful results as usage grows.

This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
