IronKey Names Art Wong CEO

IronKey, a secure and managed portable computing solutions company, announced that Arthur Wong has joined the company as its new chief executive officer. Current IronKey CEO and Founder David Jevans will become chairman of the company’s board of directors.

The company is expanding its leadership team to help extend the high levels of quarter-on-quarter growth. Wong, a proven performer in the security industry, brings more than 15 years of both entrepreneurial and large company experience in the technology and security space.

Wong’s experience includes revenue responsibility of more than $2B when he managed Symantec’s Security and Data Management Group, and he served as senior vice president of several other Symantec business units. Wong was also the CEO and founder of Security Focus Inc., which Symantec acquired, and Secure Networks Inc., acquired by McAfee, where he was the director of channels for Security.

“Art brings invaluable experience and leadership shaped at the security industry’s largest players, and at the same time has consistently demonstrated his ability to build and effectively grow emerging businesses,” said Jevans. “We are fortunate to have attracted him to help IronKey capitalize on the significant growth opportunity in front of us.”

“I am excited to help drive the company through its next stage of expansion and into new markets,” said Wong. “IronKey is perfectly positioned to provide enormous value to enterprises and people that require security to enable their businesses and their lives.”
