RF Technologies Promotes Paul Larson to Vice President of Product Development

RF Technologies, which provides radio frequency identification monitoring systems and healthcare security solutions, announced that it has promoted Paul Larson to vice president of product development. Effective immediately, he will report to Mark Harwood, the president of RF Technologies.

"Paul is a tremendous asset to our organization," Harwood said. "His passion and track record make him an ideal fit for this position. We are confident that he will be successful in leading us with innovative product designs and achieving our global business goals and objectives."

In his new role, Larson is responsible for leading all phases of RF Technologies' product development initiatives including: gathering, translating and conceptualizing the voice of the customer; developing the product roadmap; leading new product engineering; directing sustaining engineering support for existing products and product line extensions; and managing internal and external technical education program leaders.

Larson has worked at RF Technologies for the past year as its director of Solutions Planning Group. Previously, he worked with Lutron Electronics, where he led the development and introduction of more than 15 new product lines and was named as co-inventor on more than 20 design patents for lighting controls. Before that, he served as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy, and continues to serve as a commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve.

This experienced executive received his bachelor’s degree in physics from the U.S. Naval Academy. He also holds a master’s degree in physics from the MIT and a master’s in technology management from the University of Maryland-University College.
