Commtouch Appoints Two New Members to Executive Team

Commtouch, an Internet security provider has appointed Amos Arev to the position of vice president, research and development, and Michael Myshrall to vice president, corporate development.

“We're extremely pleased to welcome Amos and Mike to Commtouch,” said Ido Hadari, Commtouch's chief executive officer. “These two executives bring significant experience and knowledge to the management table, which will help us as we further push to accelerate growth.”

Arev has more than 20 years of software development management experience and has spent over half of his career specializing in IT security. Prior to joining Commtouch, Arev was VP R&D of Skybox Security, a provider of automated security risk management solutions. Before Skybox Security, Arev held several R&D management positions at Check Point Software and at Comverse Network Systems. He holds a master of science in electrical engineering from Tel Aviv University and a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, both cum laude.

“After over a decade at the forefront of the Internet security industry, I’m looking forward to being a part of the Commtouch technology leadership team as we continue enhancing and expanding our offerings to combat today’s dynamic cyber threat landscape,” Arev said.

Myshrall brings to Commtouch two decades of investment banking, business development and technology experience. Prior to joining Commtouch, he focused on technology strategy, financial advisory and mergers and acquisitions, first with Mercator Capital and more recently with Trilos Ventures. Myshrall previously held various roles in business development, marketing and engineering within companies such as Nortel, Newbridge Networks, Corvis and Civcom. Myshrall holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of New Brunswick and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
