Cooper Notification Opens New Technology Center and Training Institute

Cooper Notification has opened a new Technology and Customer Solutions Center and Training Institute in Sarasota, Fla. The company designed the facility to meet the increasing demands of the rapidly growing market while leveraging the global expertise of Cooper Industries. The opening of the facility was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with executives from Cooper Industries.

With growing concerns for personnel safety, the government and other organizations are continuing to develop regulations for mass notification systems. Designed to quickly alert, inform and protect residents, employees and the community in an emergency, Cooper Notification provides integrated, multi-layered mass notification solutions to meet new codes and requirements.

The training program offered at the new facility provides participants with an interactive, hands-on educational experience, and offers the highest level of information needed to effectively sell, survey, design, deploy, install and maintain Cooper Notification’s Mass Notification Systems for emergency communications. The new Technology Center will be used for business and product development, customer demonstrations and fostering partner relationships.

“We are very excited about our new facility and the opportunities that will transpire from our state-of-the-art Technology and Customer Solutions Center and Training Institute,” said Ted Milburn, vice president marketing, Cooper Notification. “As the leader in the emerging mass notification market, we designed a high-tech facility that would allow us to not only continue to develop innovative notification solutions that help protect the well being of people and property around the world, but also to educate our partners and customers on the latest cutting-edge technology.”

Cooper Notification’s Mass Notification Systems are already installed in several local colleges, including the New College of Florida, Sarasota; the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg; the University of Central Florida, Orlando; and the University of North Florida, Jacksonville.
