Honeywell and 2GIG Technologies Inc. today announced the settlement of a lawsuit involving the alleged infringement of a Honeywell patent related to the design of security system panels, known as the “148 Patent.”

The settlement agreement resolves the patent infringement lawsuit filed in November 2009 by Honeywell against 2GIG and Mr. Scott Simon in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

As part of the settlement, 2GIG will pay for a license to the technology covered under Honeywell’s patents.
