Air Force Awards Telos Corporation NETCENTS Task Order for 2GWLAN

Telos Corp. was recently awarded a new $19 million task order by the Air Force’s Electronic Systems Center, Cyber Integration Division Hanscom AFB, Mass.

The award was made through the Network Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract vehicle.

Telos will implement a Second Generation Wireless Local Area Network (2G WLAN) at Air Force bases around the world.  The project includes both sites that will integrate with existing wireless installations and sites that have no current wireless coverage.  The company will conduct site surveys, design both core and expansion wireless networks, procure components, provide sustainment services, conduct engineering studies, provide on-site training and a 24x7 call center for ongoing support enterprise-wide.

“NETCENTS orders for the year are off to a hot start,” said Brendan Malloy, senior vice president and general manager of the company’s Secure Networks group. “We are receiving orders for a wide range of wireless projects, continuing our long history of providing Air Force warfighters with capabilities that enhance their mission effectiveness.”
