New CFO and CTO Join Architelos

Architelos Inc. announced that Norbert Grey and Michael Young have joined the company as chief financial officer and chief technology officer, respectively. They join co-founders Alexa Raad and John Matson, creating an executive team of industry leaders with successful track records of launching, building and managing new and existing top level domains (TLDs).

CFO Norbert Grey previously served as vice president of finance and administration for .MOBI where he established and managed .MOBI’s financial and business operations and reporting as well as the customer service function. He is a chartered accountant with more than 15 years experience in senior financial roles, not only in the domain name system (DNS) industry, but also in the technology and mobile telecommunications industries.

CTO Michael Young will oversee product development, security and technology integration services and services delivery platforms. Prior to joining Architelos, Young was a founding member of the management team at Afilias, a leading registry infrastructure provider. Over his 10 years at Afilias, Young played a key role in building the core technology and managing various operations teams. He was also a primary author in Afilias' winning bids for the .ORG, .MOBI, and .IN registries business, among others.

“We are delighted to welcome these two outstanding industry leaders to our team,” said Raad, Architelos’ CEO. “With Norbert’s financial expertise and insight and Michael’s exceptional experience in technology and product development on the A-team, Architelos is now positioned to help the next generation of TLDs tackle the challenges ahead.”

“The depth and breadth of knowledge and experience on our team is Architelos’ differentiator,” added Matson. “Capturing and codifying that knowledge will help new and existing registries navigate the complexities and changes inherent in a deregulating DNS industry.”
