Westec Intelligent Surveillance Hires Dan Wilson as CFO

Westec Intelligent Surveillance, a remote video monitoring company, announced that Dan Wilson has been named the company’s chief financial officer. Westec is poised for additional growth and chose Wilson for his experience managing companies on a growth track.

The company’s proprietary video monitoring technology allows specialists to “talk” and interact with potential thieves in thousands of customer locations nationwide in real time.

Wilson’s responsibilities will include providing leadership and technical expertise to the accounting and human resource departments, executing the annual financial plan, managing internal and external financial reporting, and providing financial oversight in mergers and acquisition activity as needed.

“Westec is aggressively pursuing opportunities to expand our leadership position in the security and video monitoring marketplace,” said Kelby Hagar, CEO for Westec. “Dan Wilson will be an asset to the Westec team. His business management and leadership skills will help ensure our success.”

Wilson joins Westec with more than 20 years of finance and operations experience, including the past three years as chief financial officer of GAP Broadcasting Group, a privately held group of 125 radio stations with more than 600 employees. Prior to joining GAP, Wilson served as chief financial officer of American Community Newspapers for six years.
