Arecont Vision Adds Casino Mode to Full HD 1080p H264 Cameras

Arecont Vision,  a producer of IP-based megapixel camera technology, recently announced the addition of a new casino mode to the company's full HD 1080p camera models. This feature allows for continuous full-motion recording at 30 frames per second (fps) to comply with gaming industry regulations. Casino mode guarantees that the frame rate will not dip below 30 fps by forcing automatic bit rate and exposure control to maintain specific predetermined settings.

“Full motion video at 30 fps is a core requirement for customers in the gaming industry. Our new casino mode guarantees continuous 30fps high-resolution video specifically for gaming applications,” said Dr. Michael Kaplinsky, CEO, Arecont Vision. “This feature will ensure regulation compliance in the gaming industry where the benefits of megapixel video can boost the functionality of systems and provide a rapid return on investment for casino operators.”

Casino mode is available on Arecont Vision's AV2115 compact mega video 1080p H.264 camera line, including the AV2115DN day/night version (with a motorized infrared [IR] cut filter) and the AV2115AI model with an auto-iris lens. It is also available on Arecont Vision's new D4S and D4F Series of 4-inch indoor 1080p H.264 megapixel dome cameras, including the D4F-AV2115-3312 in-ceiling mount camera with a 3.3-12mm varifocal IR-corrected lens; the D4F-AV2115DN-3312 in-ceiling mount day/night version with a motorized IR cut filter; the D4S-AV2115-3312 surface-mount camera and the D4S-AV21115DN-3312 surface-mount day/night version. Each dome camera is easy to install and features an adjustable 2-axis gimbal to provide 360-degree pan and 70-degree tilt adjustment.

In addition, casino mode functionality is provided on the AV2125DN megaview 1080p H.264 all-in-one day/night camera contained in an IP66-rated and vandal-resistant “bullet”-style housing; and the megaview AV2125IR 1080p H.264 version with an IR illuminator.

All 1080p models provide 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution at 30 fps. Additional functionality of Arecont Vision cameras include a privacy mask to enable video to be blocked on the camera in multiple regions in almost any arbitrary shape. Extended motion detection provides a higher-granularity grid of 1,024 distinct motion detection zones. Forensic zooming allows close-up views of any region of interest, even on archived video. Cameras can be powered by either power over ethernet (PoE) or 12-48V DC/AC power supplies.
