FLIR Awarded IDIQ Contract for Integrated Base Defense from PM Force Protection Systems

FLIR Systems, Inc., a company specializing in design, manufacture and marketing of sensor systems that enhance perception and awareness, recently announced that the company has been awarded the Force Protection Omnibus contract through U.S. Army Product Manager, Force Protection Systems (PM-FPS).  This five year, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract has a maximum award value of $997 million.

Under this contract, FLIR will provide best in class integrated systems, associated services, and products to support inside-the-wire and outside-the-wire integrated base defense operations.  Work under this contract will primarily be performed out of the FLIR facilities in Alpharetta, GA, and Elkridge, MD.

“With numerous integrated systems already supporting force protection operations in forward operating locations, FLIR continues to be a leader in integrated systems development and deployment,” said William A. Sundermeier, president of FLIR Government Systems.  “As one of the few companies selected to support this contract, we will continue to provide our forces in-theater with world class FLIR sensors and integrated solutions.”

This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
