Merchant Link Names Chris Sutherland Director of Enterprise Security

Merchant Link, a provider of payment gateway and data security solutions, has named veteran security expert, Chris Sutherland, as director of enterprise security. Sutherland reports directly to the CEO, Dan Lane.

"The cybersecurity environment is changing and merchants are quickly becoming a target of organized groups and hacktivists seeking to make an example out of the most popular brands," said Dan Lane, president and CEO of Merchant Link. "Consumer trust and brand reputation is at stake. Merchant Link takes the security of payment data seriously and the addition of Chris Sutherland, who is an information security industry veteran, will ensure that the company's security solutions are equipped to protect our customers from these threats now and as they evolve in the future."
