(ISC)2, Cloud Security Alliance Expand Cloud Security Offerings to Members

The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) and (ISC)2, the world's largest information security professional body and administrators of the CISSP(R), today announced they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") to benefit members of both organizations who are looking to expand their knowledge and expertise in the cloud and broader security areas.

Under the MOU, members of both organizations will benefit from the relationship by gaining access to best practices offered by each organization and joint professional development opportunities such as registration discounts off of each organization's events.(ISC)2 members will receive a 10 percent discount off of the upcoming CSA Congress event being held in Orlando, FL on November 16th and 17th, and CSA members will receive discounts off of (ISC)2's Security Leadership events and annual Security Congress.

"We are pleased to be collaborating with (ISC)2 to offer our members access to a growing knowledge base and suite of education opportunities," said Jim Reavis, co-founder and executive director of the Cloud Security Alliance. "In addition, we encourage all security professionals to take a closer look at the CSA's Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) certificate, which can demonstrate that they have a strong foundation and understanding of key information security concepts and the ability to apply these concepts toward cloud computing security."

"Security in cloud environments continues to be a top priority for our members and their organizations," said W. Hord Tipton, CISSP-ISSEP, CAP, CISA, executive director of (ISC)2. "The CSA has done a tremendous job in driving awareness for cloud security issues. Our relationship allows us to meet the ever-evolving needs of the security workforce by giving professionals access to knowledge, tools and resources that help them tackle threats posed by pervasive technologies such as cloud computing."
