Uplink Launches 4G-Enabled Alarm Communicator

Uplink recently announced the launch of the company's 4G-enabled cellular communicators, which will be available in late summer.

"Uplink is introducing the industry's most advanced 4G cellular products because many dealers want to ensure that their customers are connected with the very latest in communications technology and to prepare for the advanced features that will be available from Uplink in the future. We are very confident in our current network offerings, including both 2G and CDMA options, but we are happy to give our dealers an additional, more technologically advanced choice like 4G," said Mike Boyle, general manager for Uplink.

"Alarm dealers are looking to Uplink to provide customers with more options, and we are responding. Uplink continues to make it simple for dealers to have a single source for all their communications needs."The devices will be on the market and available for dealers in summer 2012.

Uplink offers a suite of cost-effective, easy to install cellular alarm communicators. Using advanced wireless technology, all Uplink security products continue to connect easily with almost all alarm panels using almost any protocol.

Cinterion, a Gemalto company, is providing the wireless technology for the Uplink 4G device.

"Together, Uplink and Cinterion are first to market with a groundbreaking 4G device for the alarm industry. Uplink's security and alarm industry expertise coupled with Cinterion's leadership in cellular M2M technology creates a win-win for alarm dealers who can now offer the advantage of a security solution with 4G speed and world class reliability," said Norbert Muhrer, CEO of Cinterion.
