Northeast Security Convention Returns to its Roots: ISC East

After consulting with ISC attendees, exhibitors, supporters, and Associations to determine what is working and what needs improvement, the consensus was to have the Northeast's largest annual gathering of security professionals go back to its roots. As a result, ISC Solutions will again be known and run as ISC East. "Over and over, people familiar with the show told us that 'We don't care what you name it, we call it ISC East," emphasizes Ed Several, senior vice president, ISC Events. "They want it to be the East Coast version of ISC West for all segments of the security channel. They want a place where they can network with peers, meet their customers, see new products, and get relevant education to improve their skills. Therefore, we will be adding the best of ISC West along with some distinctly Northeast features to ISC East."

The exhibition, to be held October 30-31, 2012, at the Javits Center, will feature over 300 exhibitors showcasing new products, technologies and services to a wide range of security professionals. For dealers, installers, integrators, and specifiers, the Event will focus on retro-fitting and updating to increase profits. For end users, achieving business optimization is the main theme. Both concepts will be supported by key exhibitors and free high quality education.

Unique to the Northeast, ISC East will be the centerpiece for SIA Security Week, which also includes Securing New Ground, the Security 500 Conference and Recognition Dinner, and the Security Week Gala, presented by ISC East sponsor and partner, SIA. Other ISC East industry partners include the Interport Police, International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS), SecuritySpecifiers.com, the New York Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NYBFAA), the New Jersey Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NJBFAA), the Pennsylvania Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (PBFAA) and the Connecticut Alarm & System Integrator Association (CASIA).

A New Product Center will spotlight new technologies and products on the security industry's cutting-edge. ISC East Mobile for smart phones will make the ISC East show floor one of the easiest to navigate. ISC East Mobile features educational sessions, special events, show floor locations and an online exhibitor directory and interactive map. It can be downloaded from the app store for iPhones and by going to this link, www.isceast.com, for BlackBerries and Droids.

To help facilitate attending ISC East, special admission packages are being designed that will include discounts on parking and mass transit transportation. More information is available at www.isceast.com
