Ameristar Strengthens Entries with Acquisition of Prefab Booth Manufacturer

Continuing its strategy of delivering exceptional perimeter security products, Ameristar Fence Products recently acquired Parking Booth Company Inc. of Sun Valley, CA.

Parking Booth Company Inc. has been a fixture in the prefabricated booth & building industry for over 15 years. Its contributions in guard booth and directional traffic control products are recognized necessities for entry control all over the United States. The addition of guard booths and building structures, together with Ameristar’s array of perimeter security products, is an integral piece in completing Ameristar’s strategy of becoming the premier source for perimeter security and entry-solution products. This acquisition follows last year’s purchase of ATG Vehicle Barrier products, which includes fixed and automated bollards, wedge barriers, and other crash-rated, entry-control equipment now manufactured in the Tulsa, OK plant.

Barry Willingham, vice president said, “The entry into this segment of the market is expected to be one of the most dynamic expansions of our business since the introduction in 2005 of our patented rackable welded fence panel called Montage. The synergies of our existing manufacturing processes with the production of these structures are quite incredible. Our ability to reduce cost while producing a higher-quality product with the shortest lead times in the industry, supported with the experience and capabilities of the Parking Booth Co. team, will quickly move Ameristar into a leadership position in the booth and building structures business. Serving multiple vertical markets, the product offering will range from a simplistic, man shelter to a ballistic-rated building positioned as the centerpiece of a high-security Access Control Point.”

Willingham further added, “We are committed to bringing innovations and quality enhancements to an industry that has been relatively stagnant over the last several years. Until now, no single manufacturer could offer the complete perimeter security package, bringing value and benefit to the design community, installers, and end use clients. While many companies are maintaining a defensive and tenuous posture under the pressure of a challenging economy, Ameristar is aggressively driving forward with our acquisition and growth strategy.”

Ameristar is excited about the opportunities these products bring to its customers and feel these additions will help the architectural community continue to find the best perimeter security solutions from a proven source.

Ameristar Fence Products was chartered over 30 years ago to provide specialty fence products that were more affordable but did not compromise the quality level demanded by specifiers and consumers. This was accomplished by complete reformation of the way fence products were being manufactured. Product design was approached from many new perspectives: maximizing high-volume productivity; increasing strength and durability; promoting ease of installation; and enhancing aesthetic appearance. A consistent expansion to over 1 million square feet of manufacturing facilities, spanning the last 18 years, has facilitated the housing of world-class technology including high-speed, roll-forming equipment, robotic automation for welding and transportation functions, and unsurpassed finish coating processes utilizing both Powder and E-Coat methodologies. A fully integrated approach of processing raw materials to finished goods has been the catalyst resulting in driving Ameristar to its current position.
