Fluidmesh Networks Named Exporter of the Year

Fluidmesh Networks Named Exporter of the Year

Fluidmesh Networks has been named a 2013 Exporter of the Year award winner by ThinkGlobal Inc., publisher of Commercial News USA, the official, export-promotion magazine of the U.S. Department of Commerce. ThinkGlobal, who also manages the USA Export Expo, selects which companies to award Exporter of the Year.

Fluidmesh provides solutions ranging from the simple, point-to-point wireless link, to the large, city-wide, mesh network, to the pervasive, point-to-multipoint network and to mobility. The coherent and compact product line is reliable, flexible and easy-to-use, allowing the user to build complex networks without changing hardware but by simply using cost-effective, software configurations, following an on-demand philosophy.

Commercial News USA is a catalog-style magazine that reaches more than a quarter-million readers in 178 countries worldwide, in print and online. Awards are given to one U.S.-based company in each of 13 industry categories. Fluidmesh Networks was named Exporter of the Year in the Information Technology/Telecommunications category. Awards will be presented at a program this spring in Washington, DC (date TBD). Exporter of the Year award winners also will be profiled in the May/June 2013 issue of Commercial News USA.

“Fluidmesh has always targeted the global market,” said Umberto Malesci, president of Fluidmesh Networks. “Given our global economy, any successful organization must focus on exporting at least as much as it focuses on the domestic market. This award recognizes our success in addressing a global marketplace.”

Criteria on which winners were selected include the total number of documented export transactions, the total percentage increase in sales, exports as a percentage of total sales, the company’s commitment to exporting, the company’s commitment to customer service, and the company’s innovation and originality in marketing products or services. To be eligible for the award, a company must currently be exporting from the United States.

“Fluidmesh is indicative of how proactive American companies are growing by exporting,” said Gregory Sandler, president of ThinkGlobal. “This year’s winners reflect the diversity of American exporters, 97 percent of whom are small-medium-sized enterprises. Exporting is a critical part of the U.S. economy, accounting for 12.5 percent of the nation’s GDP. In fact, 70 percent of the world’s purchasing power is located outside of the United States.”
