Silent Knight Builds Online Resource for Life Safety Industry

Silent Knight by Honeywell announced a new online resource, created to educate and inform on everything related to life safety systems including codes, technology, training, trends and more. The Silent Knight Blog (#SKblog) features a constant flow of articles focused toward each industry persona, especially installers, engineers, facility managers, security directors, AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) and first responders.

“It’s like a library of mini-whitepapers,” said Richard Conner, marketing director for Silent Knight. “Our staff and a variety of industry pros really dig into common questions and address them in an efficient and contemporary way. We offer guidance on trends and changes within the industry too, such as new codes and products.”

The Silent Knight Blog already hosts more than 40 different articles. For example, its most recent posts explore:

  • Requirements and technology surrounding low frequency notification;
  • Advanced fire detection;
  • Central monitoring station communication;
  • Mass notification systems and emergency alerts; and
  • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 2013 code requirements.

An advanced search feature allows Silent Knight Blog visitors to focus in on all blog posts related to a particular topic. Blogs can also be sorted by category and author.

Anyone that comes in contact with life safety systems from the design, installation, and end user perspectives are encouraged to share their comments and subscribe to receive email notifications when new blogs are posted.
