Mission 500 Launches #ShowOrange Campaign

Mission 500, the security industry-based non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of children in crisis, has launched the Mission 500 #ShowOrange initiative aimed specifically at providing aid to children in need here in the U.S. To join in, participants wear or pose with something orange – an article of clothing, accessory, etc. – on any Friday. Then they simply take a selfie and submit it to [email protected] to be posted on Mission 500’s #ShowOrange gallery on Facebook.

Each week, the submitted photos will be entered into a free random drawing – the winning photo will be highlighted on Facebook, and a small gift will be awarded to the poster as a token of appreciation. All are encouraged to follow the page, like it and share it with friends and colleagues using the #ShowOrange hashtag to raise awareness about this important initiative.

“The color orange is associated with both determination and fun, which also fits our intentions with the new #ShowOrange campaign,” said George Fletcher, Advisory Board member and Mission 500 volunteer. “We are proud of our work to improve the lives of children around the world, and with the launch of #ShowOrange, our aim is to ensure kids here at home are provided with the same aid.”

New provisions for donations are also available to help support this great cause. All donations are tax-deductible and can be made with major credit cards and American Express loyalty points. In addition, those donating may be able to double their contribution if their company offers a “matching funds” social responsibility program.

100% of donations will be distributed directly to needy children in the U.S.
