Obama Promotes Cybersecurity in State of the Union Address

President Obama discussed cybersecurity in his State of the Union address, citing the high-profile hacks that have affected both government and business around the world.

"No foreign nation, no hacker, should be able to shut down our networks, steal our trade secrets, or invade the privacy of American families, especially our kids," he said. "I urge this Congress to finally pass the legislation we need to better meet the evolving threat of cyberattacks, combat identity theft, and protect our children's information."

His direct mention of children could tie into a bigger point regarding cybersecurity, namely how connected younger generations are today.
