Dahua Showcases New Technology, Innovative Solutions

Dahua Technology continues to focus on their commitment to introduce innovative and comprehensive solutions to the security industry. During the recent GSX tradeshow in Las Vegas, the company announced their offering of thermal imaging, their enhanced PoE, ePoE cameras with new Night Color Technology and intelligent solutions for key verticals.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to feature so many new and advanced technologies simultaneously,” said Jennifer Hackenburg, senior product marketing manager at Dahua Technology. “With a solid foundation of cameras, recorders, and accessories, our aim is to use GSX as an opportunity to show the technology that takes our products to the next level.”

The latest innovation is the new ePoE Cameras with Night Color Technology that incorporates a high-performance STARVIS™ sensor and a large aperture lens to produce crisp, clear color images in low-light environments (down to 1 lux). This light-sensitive technology allows the camera to capture more available light and to reproduce color images with superior detail and contrast. The ePoE bullet and dome cameras with Night Color Technology are the newest components in Dahua’s ePoE long-distance transmission solution. ePoE devices incorporate easily into existing PoE or analog systems, as well as in combination to deliver transmission distances of 2624 feet over Cat 5E/Cat 6 cables.

In addition to lowlight solutions, Dahua demonstrated its line of thermal cameras that capture identification-level video in complete darkness. All thermal cameras feature an uncooled Vanadium Oxide thermal imager coupled with an athermalized, focus-free lens that produces crisp images in total darkness and sees through rain, fog, and snow. The Dahua thermal camera line includes bullet thermal cameras and hybrid PTZ models that offer a 2MP CMOS sensor along with the thermal sensor for cost-effective, long-range surveillance in a rugged all-in-one package to see the visible and the invisible. All Dahua thermal cameras offer a built-in fire detection feature that identifies a rapid temperature rise and warns of a potential fire.

“Driving innovation in our industry has always been our goal,” said Wayne Hurd, vice president of sales for Dahua North America. “Highlighting so many of our new innovations, alongside our targeted vertical solutions in one place has us all very excited for GSX.”

Dahua will also demonstrate its innovative 3MP Dual-sensor People Counting Camera that uses complex real-time people counting algorithms to deliver accurate flow statistics. The camera uses an advanced Vision Processor Unit (VPU) that delivers high-performance machine vision and visual awareness that enables advanced vision applications that are impossible with conventional ISPs. The dual 3 MP sensors work in combination to deliver a single video stream that captures 3D depth in the image, offering improved accuracy as compared to single-sensor cameras.
