ABLOY - Joe Brown

Joe Brown Joins ABLOY USA as Vertical Market Manager of Transportation

Continuing to expand and strengthen efforts to support critical infrastructure customers, ABLOY USA has signed Joe Brown to serve as the Vertical Market Manager of Transportation. He is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and reports to Jerry Burhans, managing director of ABLOY USA.

”I am pleased to add a person of Joe’s experience to the ABLOY USA team,” Burhans said. ”He will grow our leadership position in the transportation vertical.”

Brown brings years of experience and a versatile background to the position. For the last 11 years, he was the director of national accounts for Prime-Line Products and was largely responsible for working with home improvement retailer Lowe’s. Previously, he served as the vice president and general manager of Global Door Controls, a wholesale door hardware company. Brown also was as a district sales manager for Yale Security, now owned by Assa Abloy and the parent company of ABLOY USA.

“I’m truly excited to be in this position. My experience in managing a diverse customer base across multiple distribution channels should serve ABLOY USA well, and I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead,” Brown said.

Brown says those challenges start now and he is enthusiastic about the prospects for a banner year in 2020.

“I want to expand our presence across all transportation sectors, as well as drive awareness of the innovative product solutions we have available to professional end users,” he said. “I also want to earn our customers’ trust and confidence, and explore new ways to serve our clients and champion the ‘ABLOY for Trust’ mantra.”

A U.S. Army veteran, Brown is married and has three adult sons. In his free time, he stays active by enjoying music, traveling and spending time with his six grandchildren.
