Live From ISC West 2024: Day 1 Recap

The first day of ISC West 2024 is complete, and our partners have definitely brought their best to Las Vegas. All of the booths from this year’s partners—DoorKing, AtlasIED, Princeton Identity, LiftMaster powered by myQ, and Hytera—were packed and full of action.

Here’s a brief recap of some of the happenings at each booth. If you’re at the show, make sure to stop by on Thursday and Friday.

Princeton Identity (Booth 23004): Princeton Identity was busy showing off a number of products, including eyeallow that brings both speed and security to access control, time and attendance, and point-of-sale applications. The edge device offers multiple ways of authentication including iris and face biometrics, card and mobile credentials, and PIN ID.

With the advance iris recognition, there’s no need to remove masks, glasses, sunglasses or other protective gear. I was able to stand a few feet away and the device while the scanned my iris.

AtlasIED (Booth 31061): The AtlasIED booth was full of action as the company was showcasing a number of solutions, including a new partnership with IntelliSee. AtlasIED will offer IntelliSee as part of its mass communications ecosystem. The AI-powered risk management platform can detect things like people and even weapons. It can also help spot other items like slipping hazards, fallen persons, trespassing, and unauthorized vehicles. The real-time monitoring system can instantly provide instant alerts to the people who need them. More critical threats can be tied into lockdowns and emergency communication.

DoorKing (Booth 23015): DoorKing provides access control systems, vehicular gate operators, parking control products and vehicle barrier products. As you can imagine, there were a number of products you can see at the show, including the massive 1625 Wedge Barrier System. The ASTM F2656-20 Certified system can stop 5,000-pound vehicles at 30 mph to safeguard property and occupants. I saw a firsthand demonstration, and the system looks top-notch.

LiftMaster, powered by myQ (Booth 26060): You can do more than just see products at the LiftMaster, powered by myQ booth. Access control industry leader and influential voice Lee Odess hosted a number in-booth conversations with industry thought leaders, movers, and shakers.

Also stop by to see the myQ Community. Made for multi-family properties, a combination of cloud-based software and hardware is designed to provide access control in a number of locations like the front door, individual apartments, a pool, and more. The myQ app lets homeowners control, secure and monitor the garage door anytime, from anywhere.

Hytera (Booth 20099): Stop by Hytera’s booth to see the Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) platform HORIZON and much more. There are also a number of informative presentations planned including Improving Safety with In-Building BDAs presented by Honeywell Fiplex at 11 a.m. on Thursday.

During the next couple days, be sure to follow @SecurToday on Twitter for news updates, photos, and product demonstration videos from Las Vegas. On to Day 2!
