Gunnebo Entrance Control Acquires Shuretech

The acquisition bolsters Gunnebo’s UK service infrastructure and engineering capabilities for gates, barriers, and turnstiles.

Gunnebo Entrance Control has acquired Shuretech Ltd., integrating the company’s field engineering expertise and service-led operating model into its United Kingdom business.

Founded in 2011, Shuretech specializes in the installation, maintenance, and lifecycle support of solutions, including gates, barriers, turnstiles, and shutters. The company primarily operates across the South East of England, focusing on preventative maintenance and fault resolution.

The acquisition highlights an industry shift toward prioritized long-term aftercare and dependable service from the initial specification phase through the product lifecycle. By integrating Shuretech’s infrastructure, Gunnebo aims to enhance its ability to provide rapid diagnostics and documented compliance assurance via a directly managed engineering team.

“Service quality and technical competence have always been central to our business,” said Carl Graham and Lewis Hakesley, joint owners of Shuretech Ltd., in a joint statement. “Joining Gunnebo Entrance Control allows us to extend this capability further, combining our practical field expertise with broader engineering resources.”

The move aligns with Gunnebo’s broader European growth strategy, which emphasizes scaling consistent service models across priority markets.

“Expanding our service footprint in the UK is a key step,” said Blanca Sebastia, EVP of commercial excellence and general manager for Europe at Gunnebo Entrance Control. “Shuretech brings strong local capability that helps us scale.”

Howard Lang, president of Gunnebo Entrance Control, said the acquisition strengthens the company’s perimeter security offerings and reinforces a commitment to accountability for customers relying on high-performing entrance control systems.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
