Synack Launches Assessment to Counter AI-Driven Threats

The new offering uses autonomous agents and human researchers to identify vulnerabilities before they are exploited by offensive AI.

Synack announced Monday the launch of its Glasswing-Readiness Assessment, a security service designed to identify vulnerabilities in an organization’s attack surface before they are exploited by next-generation offensive artificial intelligence.

The service arrives as a response to recent advancements in offensive AI, such as Anthropic’s Project Glasswing and the Mythos capability. These models can autonomously discover and exploit vulnerabilities across operating systems and web browsers, significantly reducing the time required for an attacker to develop an exploit.

The assessment utilizes Synack’s autonomous red agent, known as Sara, to map an environment at scale. This automated discovery is paired with the Synack Red Team, a group of human researchers who validate findings and chain vulnerabilities together to identify real-world attack paths.

Current research indicates that organizations, on average, only test approximately 32% of their total attack surface. Security experts noted that as offensive AI begins to iterate on exploits at machine speed, untested infrastructure—including legacy systems and forgotten endpoints—becomes a primary target for adversaries.

The goal of the new assessment is to provide continuous testing that mirrors the speed of modern attacks, moving away from traditional annual compliance schedules. By combining agentic AI-driven testing with human oversight, the service aims to close the coverage gap that often leaves enterprises vulnerable to automated exploitation.
