Securitas Acquires Danish Security Specialist CamVision

The acquisition bolsters Securitas' retail loss prevention and electronic security offerings for small and large businesses in Denmark.

Securitas has completed the acquisition of CamVision, a Denmark-based security firm specializing in retail loss prevention and electronic surveillance. The move is intended to scale Securitas’ presence in the Danish market by integrating CamVision’s technology-driven solutions into its existing portfolio.

The addition of CamVision allows Securitas to expand its standardized security packages for single-site small businesses. These offerings typically combine alarm systems and video monitoring into a simplified service model.

The acquisition also targets larger, multi-site clients. CamVision’s technical background in electronic article surveillance and complex video integration will be used to enhance Securitas’ high-end security designs for organizations with more difficult operational requirements.

CamVision brings a history of specialized work in the retail sector, specifically regarding alarms and anti-theft technology. According to leadership at Securitas Denmark, the integration of these two teams will streamline how electronic security systems are designed and operated across the country.

Securitas Technology, which operates in 40 countries, will manage the transition. The deal reinforces a broader strategy to provide a connected ecosystem of health, safety and security solutions ranging from basic hardware packages to advanced, integrated technology.
