Two people shaking hands

Allied Universal acquires Sentinel Offender Services

The acquisition makes Allied Universal the leading provider of electronic monitoring technology and services in the United States.

A major security and facility services provider has acquired Sentinel Offender Services, a company specializing in electronic monitoring and community supervision.

The transaction integrates Sentinel with the existing electronic monitoring business of Allied Universal. The combination creates the largest electronic monitoring provider in the United States and expands the company's global footprint in the market.

Headquartered in Irvine, California, Allied Universal will now oversee Sentinel's national operations. Sentinel partners with courts, corrections agencies and community supervision programs across the country to provide GPS tracking, radio-frequency electronic monitoring, alcohol monitoring, case management and related offender tracking services.

The combined organizations will provide clients with an expanded portfolio of monitoring technology, customer support systems and future technology investments.

Raymond James Financial Inc. served as the exclusive financial advisor to Sentinel for the transaction. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
