Security technology provider 3DX-Ray has expanded its product offerings through the acquisition of ClanTect, a developer of human presence detection systems. The deal integrates vehicle and container screening capabilities into 3DX-Ray's portfolio of inspection technologies.
ClanTect's proprietary technology uses vibration sensors and signal processing to locate individuals concealed inside vehicles, shipping containers and enclosed spaces. The sensors detect minute movement while filtering out ambient background interference such as wind and road traffic.
The system is used in border security, correctional facilities and high-security sites to curb unauthorized access, human smuggling and illegal migration.
The acquisition enables 3DX-Ray to broaden its scope beyond standard X-ray imaging. The company intends to distribute ClanTect's line across its global sales network, which reaches more than 85 countries.
