Hard Rock Stadium has implemented a unified physical security platform from Verkada to streamline safety operations and improve crowd management across the 65,585-seat venue.
The deployment brings video security, door access control, visitor management, intercoms and intrusion alarms into a single cloud-based dashboard. The integration allows stadium personnel to monitor activity in real time and adjust security protocols based on event requirements, ranging from NFL games and college sports to major concerts.
The platform relies on activity-based detection and automated alerts to monitor the stadium perimeter and flag potential issues before they escalate. Digital credentials have replaced physical keys and disconnected badge systems, giving operators a centralized log of all entry points and automatic anomaly detection.
By moving security management to a cloud infrastructure, the venue reduces physical server maintenance and receives features through automated software updates. Visual analytics from the platform also provide operational insights into crowd density, allowing staff to manage bottlenecks and adjust staffing levels dynamically.
System integrator Castaway Technology and Security assisted with the deployment. The integration team used Verkada’s Command Connector to bridge existing camera hardware into the new platform during the transition phase, maintaining continuous operational coverage.
