Security and facility services company Allied Universal is honoring security personnel across the country during National Security Officer Appreciation Week.
The annual observance, running through Sunday, recognizes front-line security workers for maintaining safety in schools, workplaces, transit hubs and retail spaces.
First established by Allied Universal in 2015, the initiative aims to increase public awareness about the daily contributions of security officers and highlight career opportunities within the growing security sector.
The company is encouraging local businesses, community organizations and the general public to acknowledge security staff throughout the week and share support across social media platforms.
