Global GRAB Technologies Acquires Barrier 1 Systems

North Carolina physical security manufacturer joins perimeter defense provider in recent industry consolidation deal.

Perimeter security provider Global GRAB Technologies has acquired Barrier 1 Systems, a designer and manufacturer of physical threat mitigation products.

Barrier 1 Systems, based in Greensboro, North Carolina, produces custom crash-rated nets, barriers, beams and detection systems. The company supplies physical protection and access control equipment for critical infrastructure and high-security sites, including government buildings, data centers, airports, military installations and entertainment venues.

The deal integrates Barrier 1's physical security systems into Global GRAB’s broader platform, expanding market reach across commercial and government sectors.

Cascadia Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor to Barrier 1 Systems and its previous owner, Valesco Industries, during the transaction. According to investment advisors, the transaction reflects ongoing consolidation and increased capital investment across the physical perimeter security and access control sectors.
