Keeper, Tenable Link Cloud Detection with Remediation

New integrations connect security findings with corrective actions and let vulnerability scanners retrieve centrally stored credentials.

Cloud security teams can address risks identified by Tenable and manage credentials for vulnerability scans through new integrations announced by Keeper Security.

The connections support two functions: acting on cloud security findings and supplying scanners with credentials held in Keeper. Both are available to customers with active KeeperPAM licenses.

Tenable findings can be sent to Keeper, where security personnel can choose corrective actions such as changing exposed credentials, limiting privileged access to when it is needed or removing persistent access permissions. After an issue is addressed, Keeper updates its status in Tenable, according to the company. Corrective actions are recorded for auditing.

A separate connection through Keeper Commander allows Tenable scanners to request credentials when needed instead of retaining them in scan configurations. These authenticated scans examine systems using login access, allowing checks of software versions, security settings, installed patches and compliance status.

When Keeper rotates a credential, Tenable retrieves the updated value during its next scan, reducing the need for administrators to revise scan settings manually.
