Signals, Knightscope’s living digital twin for physical security, running live at Knightscope Headquarters in Silicon Valley.

Knightscope Deploys Signals Security Software at Headquarters

The operating system combines camera and sensor feeds in a continuously updated 3D site model for remote monitoring and virtual patrols.

Security technology company Knightscope has put the first version of its Signals software into operation at its headquarters in Sunnyvale, California, using a digital model to monitor the property.

Signals brings information from cameras, sensors and security machines into a three-dimensional digital twin of the site. Knightscope said analysts can examine the property remotely from different perspectives, move directly to an alert’s location or conduct a simulated walkthrough.

The headquarters deployment incorporates existing surveillance equipment alongside the company’s K7 security robot, K1 Capsule and K1 Super Towers. Its Mission Intelligence team will use version 1.0 for daily security operations, according to Knightscope.

Additional connections remain under development. The company plans to add video and location feeds from its H1 wearable device for security personnel. It is also developing connections to robot navigation and detection systems so information about people, vehicles and objects can update the model.

Knightscope is serving as the platform’s initial customer. Signals supports its broader security service, which combines automated equipment, software and licensed security personnel.
