A veterinary hospital network with more than 1,000 U.S. locations consolidated security services with Interface Systems to reduce false alarm fines, unify monitoring support and improve video management system use.
False alarms caused recurring fines for the network. About 300 standalone hospitals faced police penalties of $500 to $1,000 per false dispatch, with some locations racking up thousands of dollars monthly.
Interface deployed its Video-Verified Alarm service at the 300 standalone facilities. Specialists check video feeds before calling police. Since deployment, 97% of alarms were false and resolved without dispatch, while 3% required law enforcement.
The network also trained staff on the video system. Risk management teams use attribute-based search on phones and desktops to review footage for potential fraud, workers' compensation claims and legal evidence.
Additionally, 63% of service requests are resolved remotely without sending technicians. Mean-time-to-repair compliance reached 94% against an 85% target. The network is now piloting additional services at high-risk locations, including Virtual Perimeter Guard.
