Large Video Wall Displaying Multiple CCTV Security Camera Feeds

Totem Partners With Milestone to Expand Remote Video Monitoring

A new integration pairs Milestone video management software with Totem remote staffing to give central stations scalable round-the-clock monitoring.

Commercial monitoring stations facing a surge in surveillance feeds can now outsource human verification through a technical alliance between Totem and Milestone Systems.

Under the partnership, Totem integrates round-the-clock remote monitoring personnel directly with Milestone XProtect video management software. The combined setup targets security providers and central stations looking to support active video verification without hiring additional internal shifts or building secondary monitoring facilities.

While automated analytics and camera networks regularly capture security events, central stations often struggle with the operational labor required to review alarms in real time. Totem serves as an external operations layer, supplying off-site operators who triage alerts, confirm threats and dispatch responders according to client protocols.

The integration allows central stations to scale account volume, handle overnight monitoring contracts and incorporate video verification services while keeping customer accounts and management infrastructure intact.
