However, the truth is that security is still a capital investment and the budget for security gets reduced or removed just like any other expense during tough economic times.

Results from the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) name change vote were announced Wednesday. Of the ballots cast, 79 percent voted in favor of changing the name to the Electronic Security Association (ESA). The by-laws require a 66 percent margin to pass.
