The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) has enhanced security in three of its largest parking lots with the addition of video surveillance systems from ADT Security Services. Although telecommunications technologies have improved significantly with the evolution of the Internet, the quality of fire alarm communications has steadily declined in recent years.

Axis Communications recently introduced at IFSEC an outdoor-ready, high-performance PTZ dome camera designed for easy and reliable installation in demanding surveillance applications.
The first day on the IFSEC floor has apparently been disappointing for some exhibitors. Since I’ve never been here before, I’m not sure how crowded it should look and the only thing I have to judge by is the traffic from ISC West. It didn’t seem all that crowded.
